THIS is How You Stand Out as a Wellness Entrepreneur
July 29th, 2019
Do you ever feel like it’s hard to stand out as a wellness entrepreneur?
You keep hearing that the wellness industry is “saturated” and worry there’s too many health experts serving the same niche as you. Perhaps you feel like “it’s all been done before” or that you’re getting lost in the crowd.
My clients often share these concerns, so let’s talk about how you can position yourself as a wellness entrepreneur that stands out from the crowd and gets their dream clients.
A sure fire way to stand out in the crowded wellness space is to be polarizing in your message.
What does that mean?
- Take a CLEAR stand for what you believe in.
- Share YOUR opinions on controversial nutrition topics.
- Toss “everything in moderation” out the window and say what you REALLY think!
Of course there will be people who don’t agree with you and that’s actually a good thing.
Remember you’re not in business to please everyone and it’s WAY more fun to work with people who LOVE and agree with your message.
You want to attract the RIGHT people to your business and the only way to do that is by sharing more of who you are and what you believe.
So how can you be more polarizing in your message, you ask?
Here’s a few questions that will help inspire you to create a polarizing post:
- What really pisses you off in the health and wellness industry?
- What do you disagree with?
- What do you wish you could change?
- What’s your nutrition philosophy?
What I suggest you do to get started is reflect and journal on the questions above. Don’t censor yourself – just write whatever comes to mind.
It’s okay to be bold and unapologetic about naming exactly who you DESIRE to work with and also who you DON’T want to work with.
Let me share an example. In my skincare dietitian business, I had a potential client that only wanted to pop pills & supplements rather than eat real food. On our discovery call she shared that she really hates cooking and overall feels that eating is a big waste of time. I knew right away that she wasn’t a client I wanted to work with so I wrote a polarizing post sharing my thoughts.
Curious to see how I wrote that polarizing post? You can check it out in the Health Pro to CEO Community HERE.
A few people unsubscribed from my email list when I sent this out, but it didn’t bother me one bit. They were clearly people looking for a different approach and weren’t my ideal clients.
The beauty of a polarizing message is that you’ll attract people who resonate with you and weed out people who aren’t a great fit for what you have to offer.
Whether you’re a huge fan of the Ketogenic diet or a big believer in intuitive eating, you need to share your opinions with confidence! When you’re clear and honest in your message, it helps the right people find you.
